In my current role as communications coordinator, one of my many responsibilities is aiding with, writing, and acting as a media contact for press releases from the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. Here, I communicated with young leaders of an award during a busy Annual General Meeting, compiled their responses, and put together one of many news over the course of several days, while making sure to stay in contact with media members attending the event.
What was the biggest story in Southern Ontario for a week was a collaborative effort at CTV Kitchener that led to award recognition.
